Atmosphere and Amenities
Part of the renovation was to help the interior of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall showcase a few beautifully restored decorative elements from the original 1928 design. For example, the grand lobby features the famous crystal chandeliers, which were restored and refitted with new material. New wool carpeting, designed in Portland and loomed in New Zealand, adds warmth to the space while ensuring the Rococo-style lobby maintains its historical character.
This popular Portland theater presents a diverse range of events and facilitates event rental services, so you might see everything from jazz performances and folk music concerts to dance presentations, theater productions, and lectures. The Oregon Symphony also performs regularly at the venue, showcasing both classical masterworks and contemporary compositions. This variety means that each visit to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall can offer you a completely different experience.
Concessions are available through the venue’s food and beverage operations, although visitors should note that transactions are cashless.
