Patti Smith & Her Band: The National Book Award Winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee & The Godmother of Punk is performing at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland on this Tuesday, September 15th, 2014 show. Patti brings poetry and punk rock to every audience of fans that pack the hall to hear her recite, read and rock her way through an ever changing set list of songs and stories from her life and work. You will be able to hear her perform some of her hit songs such as her hit song "Because the Night" (co-written with and recorded with Bruce Springsteen), "Gloria" and "Individuals Have the Power" (a great motivational song) and many more recently written songs such as "Banga" the title track from her 2012 studio release as well as "April Fool" and work from her literary career including her National Book Award winning biography "Just Kids" (2010). A special night to be sure and one that will be felt for a long time by all in attendance.

Smith's continued work in many different genres of art has earned her a special place in the hearts of many fans around the world.
