Jeff Tyzik & Edna Vazquez - Piazzolla evening promises to be a special one as conductor and orchestrator Jeff Tyzik, respected in both classical and contemporary musical scenes throughout North America, leads the Oregon Symphony through the works of the father of modern tango, Astor Piazzolla. Jeff has created many memorable nights of music with the Oregon Symphony and this promises to be another outstanding performance. Violinist Edna Vazquez joins Mr. Tyzik on stage to perform the iconic "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" and the sensual "Libertango" as well as other compositions by Piazzolla. Ms. Vazquez brings her own unique interpretation to the tango scenes and brings the listener into the emotions of the composer in a powerful and evocative performance.

Edna Vazquez

Violinist Edna Vazquez's brilliant and expressive interpretation of tango scenes from Piazzolla's most complex works, such as The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires and the sultry Libertango, will also be performed at this concert. As a soloist, Ms. Vazquez has been seen with orchestras around the country. Her passion for performing and promoting Latin American music is well known.
