John Gourley, Portland's own, Portugal. The Man, brings his dynamic alternative rock to cities throughout the country delivering high-energy live performances everywhere he travels. This talented hometown performer will bring the music of this iconic rock band to the hall as he performs iconic songs such as their hit "Feel It Still" as well as songs from his recently released 2025 album SHISH, all performed in a distinctive new way with the complete backing of an orchestra. 

Oregon Symphony

Oregon Symphony is joined by one of Portland's favorite alternative rock groups, Portugal. The Man, for a performance of classic rock favorites as well as songs from their new album SHISH all performed with a complete orchestral backing.

Sounds Like Portland is a series of concerts featuring some of the most interesting musical artists from Portland's diverse and engaging music scene. This concert will be an exciting and unique experience that the audience will not soon forget as these two Portland institutions come together for an evening of music of extraordinary power and scope.

The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall is located in the heart of downtown Portland and is home to the Oregon Symphony and the Portland Ballet. The hall was a long lived movie palace that was reopened in 1984 as a full time concert venue with 2,776 seats. There are four levels of seating including orchestra level seating, a dress circle, mezzanine, lower balcony and upper balcony. The hall has excellent surround sound and no matter where you sit you will be able to hear all of the musical elements clearly.
